The Truth: God Is Not a Concept but a Person

He is the living God who reveals Himself through His Word.

We accept the whole Bible as the complete and living Word of God. It is our foundation for wisdom, character, and purpose, guiding students not only in their learning, but in becoming who they are called to be.

1. The Bible: Our Inerrant Foundation

We believe the 66 books of the Bible are the verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, making it God's objective, propositional revelation to humanity. It is to be interpreted literally, grammatically, and historically, and it is the only infallible source of truth. Its teachings are binding for all generations.

2. God

The Triune Source of Truth

• God the Father is the sovereign Creator and absolute ruler of the universe, who orchestrates all things according to His purpose and grace.
• God the Son, Jesus Christ, is fully God and fully man. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death for our redemption, bodily resurrection, and future return as Judge and King.
• God the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells them, seals them for salvation, and empowers them for sanctification and service.

3. Man

Created but Fallen

Mankind was created in God's image, male and female, for His glory. Through Adam's sin, all humanity is now born with a sinful nature, utterly lost, and incapable of saving themselves or pleasing God apart from His grace. We are sinners by nature, choice, and divine declaration.

4. Salvation

By Grace Through Faith Alone

Salvation is a gift from God, provided solely by Christ's atoning death and received by grace through faith alone, not by any human merit or works. This salvation involves:

• Regeneration: An instantaneous work of the Holy Spirit that gives new life to the believer.
• Sanctification: The Spirit's lifelong work of shaping believers into Christ's image.
• Eternal Security: Every genuine believer is kept secure by God's power forever.
• Separation: Salvation results in a life of gratitude, holiness, and separation from sin and worldliness.

5. Conclusion

To be a Christian is to acknowledge God as our Sovereign Creator, to confess our sinful state before His holiness, and to place our complete faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
